Understanding Family Groups -
Updated over a month ago
  • Family groups are groups of your family members that you choose to share posts and media with, invite to family reunions, or create a family tree for.

  • Examples:

    • Create a family group for any family you invite to a reunion.

    • You may create a group for immediate family to share simple daily things with and another broader family group for family members that you only want to share with occasionally.

  • If you create a reunion, you have to make or use an existing family group for that reunion.

    • Anyone invited to that family group will get a reunion invitation.

    • Anyone who gets a reunion invitation will be invited to that family group.

  • If you create a family tree for a reunion and then add a person not already in the family group, that person will be added to the family group associated with that Tree.

  • When someone joins a family group, they can see posts, media, and family trees for that group, even those shared before joining it.
